Dr. Carlson is a board-certified Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist, trained locally at Bastyr University. She completed further post-graduate training as an intern at Mosaic Natural Health Clinic in North Seattle, working with practitioners who specialize in environmental medicine and chronic disease management.
While looking to set up a private practice, it came to Dr. Carlson's attention that her own hometown of Lake Stevens, Washington did not have a single Naturopathic Physician or Acupuncturist. After finding a wonderful space within "Family Chiropractic" in South Lake Plaza, it seemed meant to be. After a 14 year hiatus, she's happy to be back "home" to offer the residents of Lake Stevens access to these wonderful and effective healthcare modalities.
Currently, Dr. Carlson accepts the following insurance plans: Regence, Premera, Lifewise, Aetna, Uniform, Cigna, and First Choice. Some United Healthcare plans are covered under First Choice. Be sure to check with your individual plan to ensure Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture coverage.
For uninsured patients, Dr. Carlson has developed a sliding scale fee schedule to help eliminate the barrier for patients seeking affordable healthcare (contact the clinic with household gross income and # of family members for an individual sliding scale fee)
Dr. Carlson is set up to order most conventional labs, as well as specialty labs such as food allergy testing (blood-based), digestive panels, and neurotransmitter testing for mood imbalances and insomnia.
The clinic maintains a small natural medicine dispensary with
professional lines and other trusted natural products. For additional healthcare convenience, chiropractic care and massage therapy are also available from excellent practitioners within the same clinic.
